In 2007 I attended my first IOLI Convention.  I had registered to take a class in Flanders Lace.  Having never made it before, I made these practice strips before going so that I would have a general idea of what the lace was all about.  I really enjoyed making this type of lace and went on to make a wedding hanky edging in Flanders.
