This process is used for joining a set of magazines together or sets of pages that are folded in half at the spine. If a book is falling apart and it was originally sewn together, it will need to be carefully taken apart and re-sewn before continuing with Basic Rebinding. The sections are hand-sewn together, and then several layers of glue are applied for added strength.
