I was given this older Bible to fix.  The cover was apart at the spine in two places and was in very bad shape, so I was not able to reuse it.  I made a new cover in navy blue leather, adding in the raised ribs and simple imprinting.  The original cover was very stiff, so I made this new cover as a hardback cover.  The owner of the Bible was not concerned with having it look like the original cover.  She just wanted to be able to use it!  She was so pleased with how it turned out that she gave me another one to do – I’ll show that to you later this week when it is finished.
